Toad's Gold | Yerba Mate, Marigold, Strawberry, Watermelon | Tea Blend

It smells like when you run through strawberry fields and end up having grass and vines tangled up in your dress.

I was apprehensive about drinking this because yerba mate is not my favorite. I've only had it a handful of times in my life so I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to taste like. The last few times I had it tasted like yeast, or something funky, and it was horrendous.

This blend tastes bread-y, fruity (probably the strawberries/melon), and grassy. It has a hint of a pastry-like flavor with a lingering sweetness, but it isn't actually sugar sweet. More of a natural sweet, like sucking on a grass blade when you are a child. Overall, this is probably the best yerba mate blend I've had in a long time.

I've drank yerba mate for years as a coffee alternative. I love coffee but I often get tired of it's bitterness, and yerba was the perfect replacement. What makes this yerba so special is the marigold, strawberries, and watermelon. The tea smells amazing and has the perfect mixture of flavors that are a welcome addition to the yerba mate.

Toad's Gold is my favorite of Toadstone teas (tough to choose just one favorite though). This is a warm, mildly sweet but complex tea that is the first thing I reach for when I want to lift my spirits. It really does feel like a hug in a mug. I appreciate the care Toadstone puts forth into making a high quality tea that I can trust and enjoy. I highly recommend this one.

Want caffeine? It's got caffeine. Earthy and lightly sweet. Delicious.

This tea is so flavorful! Definitely let it steep for as long as possible and you’ll really get that watermelon flavor. Simply delicious!
